Purleigh Community Primary in Essex have managed to raise £220.00 by recycling their cartridges and mobile phones and have decided to purchase some new and exciting rubbish bins .
Jenny Owen the schools Greenwatch Co–Ordinatior sent us this great photo of two of her year 2 children using one of the littler bins they have bought with their Recycool money. Their old bins kept getting raided by the crows after playtime, which gave them a litter problem. They have now stopped those pesky crows chucking crisp packets out of the bin!
“Thank you for all the lovely money you are sending us for our recycling – we have spent it on some new ’mushroom’ waste bins for our playground to hold the small amount of litter we generate in the playground at snack times without it being blown all over the playground. The children have chosen how to spend their money and I’m sure you’ll be as impressed as we are with their choice!”
Thanks again – we think it’s cool to recycle so we love Recycool!”
We love to hear about what you are doing with your Recycool cash so please get in touch and let us know!
